Melayu Dalam Bahaya 2006

Any comment on the Malaysia education scene which does not address the blatant racial (and religious) discrimination practised in Malaysia - which places it next to South Africa (of before) as the only country in the world which has established legal and institutionalised racism - and its demeaning, destructive and evil force, is nothing more than a apology in praise of such racism.

Sad to say, there has been too much tinkering with the national education system on a partisan basis.

Umno has from the very beginning been committed to make malay the national language, malay as the medium of instruction in schools and turning everybody else into "Melayu" - assimilation rather than integration i.e. playing politics with its national education system, playing to the demands of a narrow form of nationalism.

Someone said that non-malays don't like it, well let me say that when malays with Cs are refused places in universities etc, and non-malays with As are given entry, then I would praise any malay who also enters with As and be thoroughly pleased with it.

Need I go on about those idiot malay contemporaries of mine who got into university with Ds, and I could not with all my As. How decent malays can stomach this is beyond me.

And one writes on Malaysian education as if a Malaysian version of "Apartheid" does not exist in Malaysia. Sick!

I am sick of third class malays (with third class brains) parading as if they have brains. They don't!

The Malaysian state is the racist state. It is the state that is largely responsible for the present state of affairs in the country. Not only is non-malays denied space and discriminated in the cultural and religious realms, they are also victimised by the state.

Today, non-malays are discriminated in employment and promotions in the public sector, their children are denied important academic disciplines in the universities while the NEP requirements has made it difficult for non-malays to obtain contracts and licenses from the state.

Moorthy's case is not an isolated one. It provides an important barometer to gauge the nature and character of Malaysian society. Moorthy's corpse would have been returned to his wife had there been religious and racial equality for the non-malays.

But alas, despite all the propaganda, Malaysia practices neither democracy nor human rights. A kind of apartheid thinking has developed amongst those who control and manage the society.

Someone said that we need snoop squads because we don't want people to degrade Islam and paint it a bad light. Actually if you want not to degrade Islam - stop bombing and killing in the name of Islam; stop rape, rampant incest, prostitution, drug taking, divorce, child abuse, adultery and all the ills of a low grade society - that thrives more in Islamic society in Malaysia than any other.

Then you might not degrade Islam - which any non-Muslim (if put through a lie detector test) in Malaysia has only disrespect, disgust and disdain for.

And do you think we like to complain? There it is so much fun that we complain for the sake of it? Do you think it is fun to have your own government treat you like a second class citizen?

If you see non-malays as a threat that you need to make them second class citizens and yourselves first class citizens, then I can truly tell you, there is no hope for this country as a multi-racial society.

How multi-racial Malaysia ends, whether via secession of the east Malaysia states, the vast exodus of non-malays who are able to emigrate and probably the rest will seek refugee status or unfortunately, forced to remain behind because they have no other options but to continue their existence as second class citizens.

It becomes a dysfunctional society because in healthy countries, everyone is treated the same. It is end will come, it is just a matter of when, and I think more and more people are beginning to realize this - they can feel it their bones.

I tell you, every June of the year will be the happiest time for us in the Singapore government. Why not? There are plenty of free "capital" flows from Malaysia to Singapore here.

What I mean is the free human capital as in those brainy students who failed to gain entry into Malaysian universities. We in Singapore welcome all these students to study here, as long as they are good. We will provide scholarship, or some soft loan which they only pay after they have graduated.

This is really good business! We always go all out to attract these students. Why not? Let me tell you the mathematic. See, the stupid Malaysia government spent so much of money every year on their education.

I tell you, every year public spending on education tops the Malaysian fiscal budget. After 12 years of primary and secondary education, they rejected those good students but admitted some mediocre ones into their public universities.

Why? Don't ask me. I also cannot understand. Apparently some kind of social contract signed 40-50 years ago. Malaysia government is like this, always half cooked one. Everything they do will stop or being cancelled half way through. Look at the Johor bridge!

They are good in primary and secondary schools, in fact their standards are almost Singapore standards. But when it comes to tertiary education, they are trashed. No way near us Singapore. Half cooked, about hen!

We in Singapore government only give some scholarships and sometime subsidize some loan interest to attract those intelligent students. These students will study here, do research here, and later graduate and work here as well. We only want those top knowledge workers. Human resources are all we have. Where Singapore got oil like Malaysian!

We really hope the stupid Malaysia will forever keep the current policy of supplying us everything we need, free. It is lucky to have a half cooked neighbour like Malaysia.

Don't tell them this, let them keep the not-so-good ones, and we get all the good ones. If they know how to calculate this mathematic, then we Singapore will be in trouble in future. Ok?

Boleh of the Bolehs but Idiot of the Idiots.

We should make the best of what we have and progress from here.

All languages can be a medium of higher learning but are we going to upset the whole system just to please someone's ego and willing to start 50-60 years behind again and play catch up.

I hope Malaysians can face up to the fact that this is a multi-ethnic, multi-religion and secular country and stop blaming history for what we are today.

If we are so hateful, then we should kill all the white guys on sight for the unholy occupation of Malaya by their forefathers, of their more than 400 years of cruel colonial rule or was it?

If they were cruel, I would expect most malays be Christians today instead of Muslims

Like our great Tun said, if the British didn't bring the Chinese and the Indians here, probably we don't have the famous Twin Towers today, if you know what he meant.

But strangely enough, instead of laying their heat on the white guys, some Malaysians laid their anger on their Malaysian Chinese brothers, probably they don't like to see too many Chinese characters on shops and the many Chinese schools and temples, that make them feels small as although they were living under the Chinese.

They always say the Chinese have a secrete agenda to control Malaysia economy and ultimately to rule Malaysia.

This is a legitimate concern in 1957 but who have been ruling Malaysia for over 40 years since then and who have been trying hard to wrest control in everything and in every field?

All Malaysians including myself are a confuse lots, most have lost the directions, we don't understand the government, we don't know where we are heading.

To the outside world our government portrays Malaysia as a place full of wonderful people of various ethnicity, saturated with a potpourri of cultures, food and fun but on the other hand, the actions of the officials, point to other directions.

I would not dare and I think most Malaysians would not want to touch anything on Islam but I dare say majority of the Muslims are contended with today's Malaysia (But never, never confront them with question whether they like to see a Muslim state in Malaysia).

I don't think we are selling our country as a tourist destination to the Arabs by saying how strict a Muslim country ours are but luring them with the combination of wonderful and colorful things that they can expect here. Incidentally Genting Highland is one of the favorite spots for the Arab tourists.

Therefore I hope we should try our best to improve on what we have instead of disrupting the beautiful 'God sent system' that we are enjoying now and not ended up as becoming one of the 'pariah countries' of the world.

Stupidity is the price for blinkered foresight and ignorance.

Stay at inertia and we will be in the fourth world.

My school in the 50s and 60s when terms like bumi and non-bumi did not exist.

Back then, there was a kind of kindred among school children then that does not exist today. We were racially different but we were all equal in every other way. Nobody was 'special'.

Today when a non-malay student goes to school, he has already been told over and over again by his parents that, 'You will have to do superlatively in order to get into a local university'.

The child comes back having done creditably well, and doesn't get the university course of his choice. But his malay classmate, with worse marks than him, gets more than he asked for.

All these double standards and retrogressive policies were put in place by our selfish politicians whose aim, rather than uplifting the malays, was to perpetually stay in power for their own good.

The end result is a new generation of Malaysians who are not united in the least.

The first thing to be done towards a real Bangsa Malaysia is to pull down all divisions that categorise us along racial and religious lines.

All, irrespective of race and religion, must be subjected to a truly merit-based system in every sphere of Malaysian life.

All political parties that exploit any form of religion should be banned.

Education has been politicised especially in the 1970s when the medium of instruction was changed from English to malay. Politicians have tinkered with our Malaysian education system for decades now, and not having any confidence in their own work, they send their off-springs overseas for their education - leaving the ordinary Malaysians without the means to do so, to suffer.

Talk to a recent graduate from any of its local universities. You will find him or her unable to express himself or herself in English, immature and unable to think independently or even rational in his thought processes. He/she shows although an ability to memorize work manuals but is unable to understand beyond that.

Freedom from common examinations?
Freedom from learning to pass examinations?
Freedom to add, deduct and improve different subjects?
Freedom to cater for practical local needs?
Freedom to cater for student needs?
Freedom to have the time to teach beyond syllabus?
Freedom to hire lecturers, teachers and professors?
Freedom to offer courses or subjects of value?
Freedom to teach as allowed in your school?
Freedom to vary the periods and times of classes?

You got to be kidding.

As far as Malaysia is concern, we are not yet liberated or allowed to do our best according to what each teacher or school thinks.

In my opinion, all our education ministers and successive government tried to politicise education instead of liberating it.

Our independence as far as education is concerned - is a joke. They were a bunch of socialist inclined control freaks inclined to producing a bunch of 'Malaysian Little Red Book' waving citizens rather than civilised, confident, humane and productive people.

Progressively, instead of education of the students, we have indoctrination instead. Do you honestly believe there was even a single honest educationist instead of a politician there?

Of course, I admit readily that I may be wrong, but please correct and convince me?

The simplistic Malaysian rat race obsession with schooling for paper results instead of early human development is one of the outstanding weaknesses in the Malaysian education system. Naturally, this does not help to produce confident, creative, independent, outspoken, rational individuals needed for a competitive world.

The Malaysian education system is like an orchestra with a few instruments. It does not quite produce the music desired or a variety of music even though the conductors get huge budgets. Most of the time, band music and no solos.

The mentality is like decreeing that Malaysians should only play badminton and football, and other games are not welcomed.

It would be a great help if creativity and diversity were encouraged from kindergarten onwards, instead of being strangled by rote learning and learning to view things as sets of answers in conformity. Students should be encouraged and rewarded by giving more varied answers to develop their ability to view things more broadly and deeply.

I just saw the UPM video clip. The parents of these boys ought to be ashamed for bringing up such ill-mannered children.

Maybe now I can understand why the two authors from UPM who came up with the race relations textbook could write such a "masterpiece" of facts. Indeed they are facts - along UPM style. I wonder what moral would the vice chancellor of the university have to be still in that position.

Utter hooliganism - what more a student union leader posturing in such an unbelievable manner.

Didn't I say that this country has gone to the dogs! We live in peace and harmony, so we say to the whole world, a "model Muslim" country. What a bullshit.

When a former prime minister can say that if you don't vote for us, there will chaos and bloodshed like May 13, what hope do we have for sane and moderate minds to prevail. Shame, real shame.

The university normal trend and tendency would be to "climb the ladder" in the rankings, that is, in quality. How much we have regressed and how much more we would regress or go down the drains is very obvious.

As I have said a number of times before, hope is the last word (if at all I can count on it) I would ever think of.

Well, they may fervently want to maintain the status quo, with their own set of reasons and arguments it is fine with me to go along with it, albeit cynically. After all, why should I worry or care? Let us see who is smarter in this game.

Where are the ministers children studying? I would suggest that Pak Lah draw up and publicly disclose a list of our politicians sons and daughters and where they are studying now.

Believe me, almost all of them are studying in private schools, private colleges, overseas boarding schools or universities. And why? Because they are much better than our national schools and most importantly, have English as the medium of instruction!

The present education system is a continuation of the colonial legacy that was established as a political patch-up to garner the support of the various divergent groups at that time.

To a large extent, each group was interested in safeguarding its own interests rather than thinking of a united nationhood. After that, even minor changes have met with resentment from these groups as they have become more and more uncompromising.

Once upon a time we Malaysians took pride in living as a multiracial society. It was with great joy that we shared our cultural diversities, information and knowledge with one another.

Today sadly, the reverse has happened. Each ethnic group in the country is unabashedly looking after their own self-interest. It appears that the respective race groups in the country are only too glad to maintain the welfare of their own self-interests.

As Malaysians, are they to be blamed for the fast eroding sense of affection and compassion towards fellow Malaysians? Maybe not, looking at the way in which some 'leaders' here are busy politicising racial issues and interests.

People's empowerment through education must be a foresight to be pursued. Education is no longer seen as a privilege of the ruling class to be manipulated for political interests. It is a basic human right to which all Malaysians are entitled. Therefore every Malaysian has a right to envisage what form of education he or she wants.

I believe education has to be democraticised by introducing into the curriculum values which will guard against abuse of power, corruption, cronyism, discrimination and racism. Socialisation of education is the next step in education reform where the people are empowered to formulate what kind of education they would want for their children.

Globalisation will force us to adopt a more cosmopolitan approach towards our education system and this is something we can't avoid. Our country education system has to be tailored to fulfill the needs of the international atmosphere while taking into account its responsibility to ethnic groups, local communities and national demands.

The present Malaysian education system is no more than a certificate-manufacturing factory. It lacks a vision despite that fact that Malaysia is only 13 years away from the year 2020.

In history, teacher said that we must accept this injustice because the malays let us to live here as one of their citizens, if it wasn't of their tolerance, we wouldn't be here - during the time before we independence, they keep objects of we existence on this country until they achieve an agreement, where they are the more superior ones.

Shit……….Brainwash, nowadays even the textbooks about our country history can't be trusted, they intended to brainwash the younger generation so that they might thought that it was the malays who are the ones who made Malaysia like this today!

But what can we do since such issue is sensitive in our country, talking against it will cost we severely……….And they say, Malaysia is a democratic world.

Hello you asked………."You got to give credit to Umno and Umno Youth for the current state of affairs in the country." If you meant language wise in its literary sense - I am packing up and won't come back for anymore banter with thee!

They did a pretty good job in creating the current blooming mess in the country, don't they?

The brain drain, the closed tenders to undeserving contractors, the condoning of keris wielding, the continuing mutual racial suspicions that got worse since 1957, the crony-politics, the fly-by-night millionaires with homes that are gold plated and helicopter pads, the schools, the university entrance, the annual scholarship fiasco……….you name it. You got give them credit for them?

Truth hurts but truth really prevails……….this country sucks!

True……….nods head and what man said some malays are brilliant? They were never brilliant - they are just playing stupid. Well, some maybe ok but never brilliant.

If intermarriage is allowed between races without having to be converted to Islam during independence in 1957, new Malaysians will emerge, dominating all sectors of Malaysia life.

For non-malays, we are approx 1/3 of the population of Malaysia. Of course birthrate continue to lower, since most of non-malays emphasis education because survival is the fittest in this environment.

For Chinese and Indians, my advice is simple, hey this planet has many many countries, Malaysia is not a significant country. Do you guys know that you can apply for job in US, then get a social security with approval then zoom, you are in US.

In Europe, Malaysians can have three months without visa to visit EU, plenty of time to search around, please do home work first. I recall in Taiwan, if you are Chinese, ok you can get third rate citizenship and can vote in their presidential election, oops sorry, I don't think Indian can qualify here.

Of course for those poor less educated relatives, suggestion - get one generation into university, whatever way - all you need is one person, he or she will do pull string in next 10 years down the road.

From the TV to the toilet bowls cleaners, everywhere the incompetence malays are there. Malays are becoming a huge question mark to everyone. Soon this Malaysia country will be an Indonesia or other poor and peaceless country.

It is frightening to find out about such things that are happening in our country. Maybe now we won't suffer, but our future generations will. All this discrimination does happen, slowly and silently, we are being blinded from the truth.

Last year I visit Singapore, I fall in love with Singapore. Why? The moment I step in custom immigrant office, I could see multi races working. The malay officer very good in English.

While crushing around in Singapore, all races given opportunity to do business. Church, mosque and temple also build. Singapore is truly race loving peoples. Keep up the good work Singapore.

As for Malaysia, I want see more multi races in banking, if not I will withdraw my money. I have recently withdrawn my money from one bank after seeing only one particular race. I like Public Bank because I could see Chinese, Indian and Malay - so nice to see multi races like Singapore.

That is why Singapore broke ties with Malaysia. It is simply because malays are too incompetent and a pile of shit that lies north of Singapore, polluting the society.

I urge that we should get rid of the malay government by all costs and bring equality to all humans. Singapore has the power to rule Malaysia, that retarded country full of scumbags.

The 12 realities ---

1. On paper, citizenship is secure - in reality, they say if you don't like it here, you can go away

2. On paper, we solve inter-community issues by win-win consultation - in reality, issues are silenced by subtle threats of unrest made on grounds of the supremacy, of one community's master and their unquestionable agenda

3. On paper, Malaysia can be great - in reality, 'Malaysia Boleh' remains just a word, an empty cry, devoid of any spirit and life to ensure the nation's survival

4. On paper, we have the meritocracy system - in reality, quota system is still running

5. On paper, we are a multiracial country - in reality, we have one community which is more equal than other communities

6. On paper, we have the national agenda - in reality, it is the malay agenda

7. On paper, even the NEP is good - in reality, it sucks

8. On paper, Pak Lah is fighting corruption - in reality, no Umno member is standing together with him

9. On paper, we have parliamentarians - in reality, we have a zoo, and only a few are ministers, the majority being exhibited specimens

10. On paper, we are a peaceful country - in reality, the absence of conflict is superficial, very fragile

11. On paper, we have a police force to look after our security - in reality, we need some protection from the police

12. On paper, we had the report, and 125 recommendations of the Royal Commission on the Police - in reality, we have just a book, non-act upon

I read one comment with a great deal of laughter. How can you even start to talk about unfairness on immigration in the West! Look inwards within Malaysia, mate, and you will find so much unfairness against the non-malays and by default non-Muslims. The country has turned to rat-shit in my opinion.

Malaysia had so much potential but it has been wasted by the inapt, incompetent, mindless people running it.

When an university like University Malaya (UM) has a policy of discrimination in its enrolment there is every likelihood that the administrative and management policies are flawed with discrimination.

This can be seen by their employment of only one race monopolising the teaching staff. When such a situation takes place most of the staff are employed not based on merit but by nepotism and cronyism.

The end result is the sacrifice of quality in the institution of higher learning. Many of the lecturers in UM are educated in the malay medium and it is unlikely they can excel in an English medium of instruction.

UM is a white elephant which has lost its direction and purpose. It would be a fitting finale to just close the institution and focus its resources with other notable private universities.

One thing I'd like to see is that all policies are discussed openly and public opinion is invited. Traditionally it is done secretively by a select number of administrators and educators. Hence the mismatch of what the public wants versus what the politicians want.

Pak Lah government is a government of homilies and zero on walking the talk.

The main purpose is to ensure those close to Umno make money as the people are there to be squeezed. The citizens interest is never in the equation.

With this kind of attitude and way of administering the country and GLCs, we can foretell a detour of Vision 2020!

What a joke of the country! Add another 30 years and we are no closer to achieving the vision, or is it illusion?

All I can say is people reap what they sow. They voted for the BN and so this is what they get. I feel these people who voted for the BN have no right to complain, they asked for it! Now they have brought troubles and distress to the rest of us who didn't voted for the BN.

These talk are lip service and at best a bandage on the issues and problems. At the core of the issues is really corruption, and at the core of the corruption is low wages and meritocracy, and at the core of the low wages is the NEP.

So long as the NEP exist, it condones corruption and special treatment, and hence allow the government abuse. Even with the best of intention without a systematic treatment, we will see abuse, whether it is public or in private.

Malaysia ministers are living like the kings of olden India. Many of them are worth millions.

If the government is sincere in being prudent with spending, it should adopt a multi-prong approach to keeping down inflation. It should avoid extravagance and curb corruption.

As long as we have BN as a ruling party, we will not see a trustworthy, efficient and corruptionless government. Just look at Umno, I cannot find a clean leader.

All are corrupted and waiting for their turn to make big money with cuts. Pak Lah can go on and preach the kampung folks about being prudent in spending but the same will not be bought by others.

Pak Lah is a man full of words, words, words, words and words. Nothing more and nothing less. A good and nice guy but good for nothing. This may go on until he retired. Let us wish him all the best for his future words.

A country needs just one leader to bring it down the drain and it seems we have the prime minister to do just that!

We need total change in the political scenario. Mahathir regime and Mahathir mentality of corrupt practise must vanish from the political scene. Malaysia needs a sincere visionary to move forward towards a clean government.

It is no wonder that there is a crisis in our higher education. It is time the government has an outside independent, maybe even foreign party make an assessment.

If you don't know how bad the problem is, there is no way you can fix it. I think the problem is very very severe. I think the problem is so bad that the government find it politically sensitive to reveal it, which is why the independent report want to see, is being made an official secret.

Seriously we may actually be lucky to have only 60000 unemployed graduates. In the real meritocracy world, we could be looking at hundreds of thousands.

Having said that, the Malaysia dilemma does not only stem from the fallacy of NEP but also, it seems, the apparent blissful ignorance that we have incorporated into our working culture.

We have to admit that in Malaysia we have bad corporate culture. As such places like university do work without any solid consultation and model. We remain 'deaf' to many issues. This leaks into our daily life as well.

Just look at the banks, the police force, the schools. It is safe to say that nobody really cares about their work in the way they should. It is apparent that people take up jobs and not careers. There is no pride whatsoever in doing anything.

Bad corporate culture! One word: Ignorance.

This simply, is a direct reflection and symptomatic of the fact that Malaysians lives are, from all angles, in danger.

Power abuse, potentially high inflationary pressures blowouts, poor international relations, personal safety and national security, low educational standards, institutionalised corruption, government-linked companies scandals, financial bailouts, being overrun by uncontrolled illegal immigrants………..and so-on-and-so-forth.

This administration, unfortunately inherited a very, very sick country. Even terminally ill, receiving palliative care.

End game?

The moral decay is beyond the point of no return! Judgment: Malaysia is relegating to become a fourth world country. Vision 2020 has derailed!

God is very fair. Other countries have natural disasters, we have our ruin ministers.

When are we going to wake up? China, Thailand and even Vietnam are galloping ahead and we will end up eating dust that they kick up. Well, at least we may still be better than Ghana at this day.

Look out Ghana or Nigeria! Bolehland is hotly pursuing your title of most corrupt nation. Hooray! Malaysia Boleh!

I felt sorry for the people of Bolehland.

This is the result of gross lack of planning. Projects are approved on the run for various reasons. It is already costly to build. But it will be more costly, at least 3 times more, to repair and fix. This is a wastage of taxpayers money.

No one could be held responsible and accountable. I suppose no one cares for the ordinary people as long as there is money to be made.

If this happen in some of the under developing countries in Africa, one could understand. But to Malaysia……….something is seriously wrong - we have plenty of qualified and experienced people to ensure things are done reasonably well.

I call for a formulation of a 21st century New Economic Policy when the NEP runs out of term based exclusively on socio-economic grounds favouring the poor and disabled belonging to any group of Malaysians.

As a good leader and a decent human being, one got to do what is right and fair with morality and dignity. If not, the future generations to come will live and suffer with great shame of the actions and behaviours of their leaders.

It is high time to unite all Malaysians for a good cause. Enough is enough!

Did I always say this Pak Lah is a hopeless fellow? Since he came to power, Malaysians have been suffering and suffering and suffering.

Incomes have gone down and expenses have spiraled up. The parliament, the judiciary and Anti-Corruption Agency have become his dolls to play and the government has become more corrupted.

Many years ago, an enterprising group of businessmen went to see Mahathir about implementing an area pricing policy to discourage single-occupant vehicles from going into the city during peak hours. Mahathir told them that he couldn't do it without improving public transport first. Of course Mahathir was more concerned about the impact such a system would do to the sales of Proton cars.

The net result? Nothing was done to improve public transport.

Government force people buy local car by making foreign cars look so expensive……….and also encourage people to buy car to support the dying industries. While at the other hand, ask people to spend wisely, save more fuel, or else our nation will become net importer of petroleum in year 2010……….so contradict.

What we are witnessing now is the legend of Robin Hood in Bolehland - robbing the poor to bail out the rich.

When will the breed of politicians be born, conscientious and honest, and made every effort for businessmen to invest not only to earn a reasonable return, but to achieve good things in life for the people?

No matter how you try to answer those questions above, the end conclusion is that this government is hiding something else from the people that will be injurious to their future if it is not tackled head on now.

Sigh……….the timing was really wrong on this one……….really pissed off when Pak Lah said the money was going to be used to better public transportation, which just didn't make sense, especially when he stated that it was 'apparently lacking'.

A 4 billion ringgits save on the subsidy will only be wasted on public transportation. This is because the people have lost faith in the effectiveness of public transportation in this country.

Why? Simple, lazy ass bus drivers, lazy ass commuter controllers, who never keep to schedules, then blame everything on 'technical difficulty'.

If a commuter engineer can stand around the station doing nothing about it, that isn't a technical difficulty, that is a mental one.

Plus, since these public transportation companies never make a profit, they simply feed of the government, and never giving better service.

Put the 4 billion ringgits back in the subsidy, get the money from somewhere else! I know, take back all those ever-growing benefits to government workers, and use that for public transport.

All these years, the Umno administration has created can-do myths, carved bleeding shortcuts, ignored the plain language of uncompetitive realities, muzzled the media from exposing the facts and spawned cronyism.

Now everyone pays the price.

So my colleague here goes to work by taking a bicycle, bus, train. Seem this would be our future. Owning a car would be a thing of a past in Vision 2020.

Better still, close down all the highway and use bullock cart, then we will assure our oil reserve will be there for the next thousand years.

Under this administration we are going backward and backward……….what a pity!

If it was in Thailand, Philippine or Indonesia, there could have been a military coup. Unfortunately, these security forces like the police have become impotent.

Only peoples power can set things right. Throw the BN government out. Otherwise, the future of our children will be condemned.

50 years is enough!

Malaysians deserve to be treated like this. But it will be forgotten after a while until another increase of price take place. In Malaysia the government like to bully the people because the people have no will power to boycott.

Since most of us are perceive to be living in luxurious by the Malaysia government, the government think we will accept the fact after a while. A call for boycotting Petronas will fall on deaf here because simply the people have no will power.

Can anyone tell me any boycott events which have been successful in the past? To my best knowledge - nothing!

Then all this anger should be known by the government and the government must be sensitive because the voters are utter rubbish.

History has proven again and again that BN government is the great liar and great actor. But the people keep on vote for them again and again because it seems we have no choice. What you mean we have no choice! It is not we have no choice, but we are fear of change and like to remain status quo.

Until the people willing to take up radical and revolutionary changes, the government shall always take us for ride. They understand us very well but we still do not understand them after nearly 50 years.

No wonder Malaysia universities produce unemployable graduates.

50 years is enough!

Corruption is already a culture in Malaysia society. There are too many cases to be dealt with. This is not unexpected. The system is run by fools like most of the ministers.

Let said with government-linked companies (GLCs) losing billions of taxpayers money through gross mismanagement, political appointments of unaccountable chief executive officers (CEOs) and rampant corruption, the government should not expect sympathy from the people.

Giving the government more money when it fails time and again, is no different than feeding an addict.

If we want to blur the demarcation between politics and religion in a plural society such as ours, then the result will be bad governance and division as we continue to witness in our beloved country.

Crimes, inflation, rising illegal immigrants and worsening unemployment are testimonies of a worst case scenario.

With the incorrigible, intransigent and power crazy people still around and with myopic belief from the opposition, there won't be any changes in the political scene in Malaysia for another 50 years……….if these inveterate people and recalcitrants are still around!

The problem is intractable, as long as we are a nation divided along race and religion. That is the colonial strategy which has worked wonders for BN.

We have to come together on common ground, and that means all Malaysians - Chinese, Iban, Indian, Kadazan, Malay, and Senoi etc.

It is time for the government of the day to change their policies before the electorates who voted them into power are plunged into a crisis. Otherwise, it is time for the people to change and choose new leaders.

Good luck Malaysians. You are in for a tough time!

Many countries have tried to develop an IT industry much earlier, and with more and better resources and better government than us Malaysia, and have not succeeded.

The chance of us succeeding given our handicaps was never good and will never be good. It begins with poor politics, then poor government, then poor education, and then poor business environment (e.g. small market).

What is remarkable to me is that some people have managed to make good money and build companies despite our problems - Mobif, Jobstreet, Green Packet, etc. These people proof that the government is more in the way for developing the industry than helping it.

In fact, the government would do better to get out of the way rather actually have any sort of grand plan like MSC. The real only way the government can help is by having open competitive bidding in government procurement of IT and putting competent people in charge of that.

Nothing else they do would really mean anything much. I would argue all the spending on grand projects, computer labs, computer courses etc, amount to basically waste.

There is no hope of the MSC really succeeding, but we can still benefit from better IT and that perhaps is, would be better because at least it means less waste.

The truth is there - it is no real strategy. MSC was never a great idea - it was an opportunity for government spending more than anything else and as Bill Gates told us very politely, it would not work because of that.

A couple of years ago, there was this idea of attracting Malaysians overseas to come back to run Malaysia GLCs. Among my extensive overseas network of business and personal associates abroad, they discussed it and unanimously shot down the idea.

The reason? Quote: "Smart people can't stand inconsistencies in fact they rely on it. Malaysia politics make things too inconsistent to do the kind of work they do."

You want to know why they will never attract the best in public service? At one time, we all agreed what the future of Malaysia was and will always be - secular, rule of law, multiracial, meritocracy. Today, even among those in power, there is no agreement on these basic things.

Why would the best people subject themselves to these inconsistencies? Maybe naivety but how long will that last and how many?

For every one brain that comes in, fifty brains will leave the country. With the affirmative policies in place, do not talk about attracting the brain. For decades, Malaysia was losing its best people to developed countries and taking rejects from developing countries.

Please forget about bring back those lost brains, while we can keep those bright students now and love them and care for them!

First, the country and government has to figure out what it want to be first before it can really retain the best, otherwise we are merely exploiting those who do not have better choices elsewhere.

I still remember of my junior wanted to serve in our Malaysia air force and he was able to design war fighters, but instead he was not retained, he headed south Singapore and he was happily married down there, has a happy family and no way back!

People with the best brains inadvertently mean they know how to think. Therefore they are wise enough not to choose Malaysia as their destination, as it could spell disaster to their reputation as we work differently. Singapore will still be the ideal landing point of such calibre people.

Malaysia will forever be suffering from a massive "brain drain" so long as the Umno-led government keeps in place the malay agenda. To forego the agenda is too costly sacrifice which the Umno-malays cannot make. A clear symptom of an inferiority complex.

Ah! This is all yes no. The problem is the NEP and the preferential treatment for malays which put them in positions of authority and power, for which they are manifestly unqualified and unsuited.

Get rid of a generation of these under qualified and under suited malays and replace them with the best brains Malaysia has - which of course must mean by a large proportion non-malays and foreigners, and all will be well.

Everyone knows that this is the solution but no one can do anything about it. That is fair enough, but what gets me pissed off is pseudo intellectuals like one who come up with stupid mainstream solutions to problems, of the gutter and sewer - which is where the NEP belongs.

Ah! It is not racist to speak the truth. Let me put it this way - on any objective analysis undertaken - you will find by the sheer reasons that Malaysian public servants were chosen with inferior grades, given inferior training and possess inferior work ethics (i.e. no competition), that many who are members of the Malaysia civil service are if not totally incompetent, clearly second rate.

Get it! You, you, you……….

This goes for army officers, doctors, lecturers, police, etc. Everyone. So you either get rid of them (of course, not as easy as I said) or be weaned off them by recruiting fairly and objective in the future, with eyes on nothing but sheer merit. And there will be some malays in this list as well, but certainly not the 98% who now occupy the public sector.

You are a proper zero (not a hero as you'd like to think) if you can't see that and jump on your high horse. LOL!

It is not true that Chinese and Indians have not been interested. They always have but they know that in the off chance that they are selected the shit they would get, when malays will get promoted and they will remain chief inspectors and majors until retirement.

Really stupid malays will be promoted to higher ranks. Why work for such shit organisations in which promotion is based on race and religion but not ability and performance!

In my experience (I have uncles in police and have lived barracks as well) in every recruitment drive, I have seen there were always loads of Chinese and Indians who turn up (especially for officers position) but they would not be selected.

In the police for example, the few non-malay officer recruits will be taken in one year after the malays of the same age are taken in. Why? So that they will always have seniority.

Not it is frustrating and unfair and unjust! But you don't care because you only care for your malays and so you talk like you do.

If you don't know or don't think this happens, you are a typical malay hypocrite.

By the way if you say: "Malaysia was built on the sweat of all races, not on the Chinese only" - then why should you malay guys get 98% of the public cake, why? Because of your race? But that is racism and racist.

But then how can you be racist if what some one says about Islam is right. He says: "Needless to say, racism in whatever form is anathema to Islam since the religion rejects totally both the glorification and the degradation, of any individual or community based upon race or color."

But thus what about the bigoted NEP? You malay guys do glorify yourselves and degrade others continually. Can't you see that?

There you see, again back to keris and parang. It is in your blood. You can't help.

Hello, the reason why you malays cannot continue this discussion is not because I shout and shut others up, but because your position is legally, morally (law and even constitutionally, that is) and religiously (Islamic, that is) indefensible.

We all can see that as bright as the day, and so can you malays to accept requires fortitude, moral character and strength, which you guys sorely lack.

So we see the theatrics with the keris and parang. Because you malay guys are living on other people's misery and that cannot please your God and for that all of you will suffer.

And so perhaps the reason why your malay community is so ravaged by aids and divorce and drug addiction and incest and single parent, and generally immorality.

Now debate that you malays!

A piece of very important reminder to my Chinese brothers here in Malaysia; this is not our country, our great great grand fathers came from China and refused to go back. They made a stupid decision of clinging here. We will never get equal treatment, because this is not our country, we are not willing to spill our blood for the country which is not ours, do we? Shanghai , Beijing you name it, they are lots better than Malaysia. Let fucking Malays live in this rotten country. Unlike us they have no where to go, we have the great mainland waiting for us.Malaysia is worst than S. Africa during Apartheid regime. There is Africa the immigrants(white) were the King, but here in Malaysia its the reverse, the son of the soils are the king, this is unfair isn't it? S'pore seems to be another alternative, lets go there and prosper the country and let malaysia go to the dogs.Remember this:we are unwanted guests in Malay land, why stay longer when we are not welcome!Back to China campaign must be done across the nation and i hope it will be well received.

To those Chinese bloggers,

One simply question, why do u people migrate to China? Why Australia, Singapore and other countries

Had we succeeded we would by now busy hanging Mao Zedung potraits on every corner of the wall. What a shame! Come on brothers, let us go back to where we belong.China is becoming world power, a power to be reckoned with,it will soon be next America.Let's go back for good, pack our bags and go.If our sisters wish to remain as whore, give them a chance to stay, they might have some malay loyal customers to entertain.

aku anak melayu,

Bangulah bangsa ku.

Perubahan perlu dilakukan!
